  24.   This is another PLIP device driver. PLIP means Parallel Line Internet
  25.   Protocol. Originally based upon the plip.device released by Oliver
  26.   Wagner and Michael Balzer, this version has been completely rewritten.

  30.    * Much more line security through machine independent timeout handling

  32.    * Option to omit CRC checks

  34.    * MTU 256 Bytes to 128KBytes

  38.    * Much better configurable, especially with regard to slow systems

  40.    * Major code cleanup, including the removal of assembler fragments,
